Set at the foot of the Hahnenkamm hill, this hotel just outside the town of Alzenau lies close to the A45 motorway and is only 30 km from Frankfurt. The 3-star Waldhotel Forelle offers en suite suites, single and double rooms. The small single rooms share a bathroom on the corridor. Treat yourself to fish caught from the hotel’s own lakes for dinner, which in warmer weather can be enjoyed on the lakeside terrace. Just in front of the hotel, you will find woodland paths on which you can take a morning jog, or keep fit on the obstacle course following the path. Cycle to the nearby Emmerichshofen palace or take a 5-minute walk to the nearest swimming lake.
